Anthony Daniels-Halisi, Co-Founder, Betty Shabazz International Charter Schools

"We have opened two new schools in Auburn-Gresham and Bronzeville.  By integrating African culture, history and principles, our students develop a strong sense of cultural pride and self-respect that inspires them to achieve high academic results."

Paul Adams, Founder, Providence St. Mel, Co-Founder, Providence Englewood

"In 1978, I worked with parents to keep the doors at Providence St. Mel open.  Since then, 100% of our seniors have been accepted to college.  Through Renaissance 2010, we opened a public school, Providence Englewood.  Teaching is tailored to each student's needs.  Every student will go to college.  We will find a way or make one."
